About Jay Cooke

Born and raised in Jackson, Jay Cooke is a 1982 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a 1985 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is married to the former Martha Campbell of Jackson. Jay and Martha have three children, Jack, Campbell and Collins.
Jay began practicing law in Jackson in 1986 specializing in Residential and Commercial real estate transactions. Since 1986 Jay has closed more than 20,000 real estate transactions in the Jackson Metro Area and throughout Mississippi.
In addition to a busy law practice, Jay has made community involvement a priority. He and Martha are active members of Galloway United Methodist Church. He is a member of the Rotary Club of North Jackson and has been a long time board member of the Fondren Renaissance Foundation, an organization that works to improve the Fondren neighborhood in Jackson. Jay has devoted countless hours to his work with the Boy Scouts of America. He has served as longtime Scoutmaster for Troop 1 (sponsored by St. Andrews Cathedral and St. James Episcopal Church) and as President of the Andrew Jackson Council, BSA, which serves 6,000 scouts in 22 central Mississippi counties.
